Ashiq Mahnilari & Ashiq Imran Heydari

Ashiq Imran Heydari was born in 1956 to a family appreciative of art. In 1973, alongside his education, he began studying saz under Ashiq Haji Ali Ebadiyan. Afterwards, listening to the works of Ashiq Edalat Nasibov and Ashiq Kamandar Afandiyov, he continued practicing on his own. He has studied under celebrated Ashiq-s of Azerbaijan such as Ashiq Qasham, Ashiq Jebra'il, and Ashiq Isa. Since 1976 on, due to his keen interest and skill in instrument making, he has been busy making saz. In this regard, he has learned a lot from master Mahmud Samadzade.
