 Sistan
With an area of 187, 052 km2, the province of Sistan-o-Baluchestan contains Sistan with the area of only 15.197 km2 (as its northernmost region). Ages ago, this city encompassed Kabul, Rahz, Keshmir and parts of the present Afghanistan and Pakistan, the land called the elevent country procreated by Ahuramazda according to the book of Zoroaster. This province has shared borders with Khorasan from north, and with Afghanistan from east.

Function of Dayere in Sistan
One of the chief functions of this instrument has so far come to be in Hanabandan ceremony (attended by a bride and a groom). AT the night of this ceremony, Hana is put inside copper basins; then, women of the groom's house lay a big basin of Hana on a large tray, the top of which is covered with a traditional cloth [Terme or Atlas], and carry it along with men toward the bride's house and on their path play Sorna and Dohol (by men) and Dayere (by women). ...
