Function of Dayere in Sistan
One of the chief functions of this instrument has so far come to be in Hanabandan ceremony (attended by a bride and a groom). AT the night of this ceremony, Hana is put inside copper basins; then, women of the groom's house lay a big basin of Hana on a large tray, the top of which is covered with a traditional cloth [Terme or Atlas], and carry it along with men toward the bride's house and on their path play Sorna and Dohol (by men) and Dayere (by women). ...
