  • This collection is gathered from more than one hundred pieces I have composed for classical guitar; I tried to select some pieces which have been performed before. My compositions are influenced by Latin American and Spanish music; however it is most affected by three contemporary composers, namely Francis Kleynjans, Dushan Bogdanovic and Andrew York. In my works, paying special attention to melody line is as much important as expressing my feelings. From York, I've learnt the use of simple melody lines and their development; From Bogdanovic, the use of meters and various tonalities, and the expressional mode of melody from Kleynjans. I sometimes used their lessons in order to achieve a new atmosphere. Sometimes expressing an inner mood or confusion were the least things I need for composing a new piece. But in fact writing new music always removes my inner confusions and helps knowing myself better; so it is up to my listeners to decide how successful I've been. At the end, I would like to thank Mr. Hushyar Khayyam for valuable guidelines, Mr. Kiavash Sahebnasaq and my dear friend Arash Amirkhansari.
