Our city is abuzz with cacophonies difficult to break free from. The city-struck need a getaway from the cityscape to find another landscape -- a place and a moment in time that may resemble that of a shepherd's. With childlike playfulness, Martin Shamoonpour uses sounds that we hear in our daily life in the city and, at times, with the sound of flute (which here replaces the ney) affects a little conscious distancing and brings us closer to a pastoral ethos.
