Composers in this collection of duets are moving towards the most elemental component of music -- sound. For them, sound is the mainspring of music and theirs is an attempt to discern its hidden meaning. They are less concerned about musical instruments than they are about the roots of Sound and Time. They are modern, and, they think modern. Their theories are borne by their musical creation.
