It took me longer than expected to finish the second part of the present project which includes the vocalization of an instrumental version of the dastgah-e shur and avaz-e dashti. This part of the project also involved the same problems and concerns as did the previous one. Moreover, in the present volume, further problems raised in the course of setting words to music, due to the lengthiness of many of the gushes in dastgah-e shur. I did my best to find solutions to any given issues, hoping to present a collection as perfect as I could. In the course of working on this project, a number of music students and colleagues kindly encouraged me, to all of whom I hereby express my gratitude. Since the main purpose of this project is of a pedagogical nature, I tried to present a performance as a accurate as possible. The present collection is dedicated to all music students who have devoted themselves whole-heatedly to learning the radif.
